*sniff* This brings back memories for me, too! Memories of when my family was happy and sweet, and the "perfect picture with 2.4 kids" - the .4 being the dog. Sadly we're not like that anymore.
Our Christmas tree set up went very similarly to yours ... dad doing the lights, him getting annoyed with it and with us, so we'd take off and set up the tunes. Then my brother would do the tinsel (until we had our cat), and I'd get the garland and the beads. The ornaments were always my favourite part ... and my faves were the "old school" ones out of felt too! I think my mom may have sewn those. I also loved the 10 lb clay/plaster ones that my brother and I obviously did in school. Or the ones out of pain can lids, with sparkles and pasted on photos.
