*is terrified of your feedback because -- from what I've seen -- you are hardcore honest*
*laughs uproariously at that (and hopes you don't take offense)*
Truly, I would appreciate your feedback. How else can I improve as a writer, without comments from intelligent people?
As Robert Guillaume's character Isaac once said on Sports Night (and writer Aaron Sorkin reused/paraphrased on his other show The West Wing):
"It's taken me a lot of years, but I've come around to this: If you're dumb, surround yourself with smart people. And if you're smart, surround yourself with smart people who disagree with you."
Know what I mean?
:D
Anyway, I will suck up my courage and post a few things here soon. When I do, I'd love your thoughts, no question. Like I said, how can I improve as a writer and learn to see things from different angles, if I don't put myself out there and receive people's perspectives?
It took me a long time of just lurking before I joined LJ. I assumed you are here for fandom, but maybe not? You are a member of xf_book_club, yes?
I'm here for fandom, most definitely, but also for good discussion of any kind. I love a good discussion. When I'm in the mode for it, I can be quite the chatty analyzer. ;)
Yes, I am a member of that group, and I really need to start reading and participating more!
No matter what, I'm very glad you came out of lurking. :)
