I don't usually do these, but I recently tortured readthesubtext mercilessly (heh) over on her LJ when she asked her friends-list members to give her some 'top five' questions, so I owe her big time.

Gemma, have a go at me! I'm ready!

That is one brutal list. *BIG GRIN* I'm going to have to get back to you on those marvelous (yet very difficult) questions.

In the meantime, may I ask you something? Would you be willing to beta a Bones-themed story for me when I finish writing it? I'm currently working on a Booth and Angela friendship piece as part of a previous creative writing meme commitment, and I think it could use a good critical eye, from someone who watches (or, heh, watched) the show and knows these characters. I rarely write in first person POV, but for some reason this story seemed to nudge me in that direction... which terrifies me because it's Booth POV, and I've never written that. You don't have to get very in-depth if you don't have time for it, Gem, but I'd love your perspective, whether or not you think it sounds enough like him (or point out areas where it glaringly does NOT sound like him). Anyway, I probably won't have it done for another day or two, maybe even three or four days, depending on how quickly the rest of the story flows out of my brain, so there's no rush for you to answer. Would you be game? :)

Sock it to me! I'd be happy to take a look. I think I can manage to put my 'Bones' cap back on without feeling a huge surge of bitterness, especially as I know you'll be writing the characters as I know and love 'em. I very much doubt that your work will need tweaking, but if I can offer any input, I will! I've got to say, after seeing the promo for Season 5, I'm not regretting the decision to abandon ship, though. Just watching Brennan and Booth blowing raspberries was enough to send my blood pressure sky-rocketing, but I'm trying to keep my mouth shut after HH revealed that the dissenters are doing him a favour, because apparently any publicity is good publicity. Did you see this extract from his latest interview?

HH: Oh boy! And people are not shy [with comments like], "You suck!" They get mad. I get in trouble when I say things like this, but it means they are invested in the show. If there was silence and people went away, that would be a disaster. Hollering at me, and then tuning into the next show to see if I make up for it, that's not a disaster.

What kind of mentality is that? I don't care how much I fuck things up, or how much I disappoint the fans, as long as the poor, deluded souls keep coming back for more on the off chance I might redeem myself? Well, sod that. What an arrogant arsehole.
