Holy Heat Wave, Batman!
Jul. 4th, 2012 04:23 pmAccording to my computer, the current temperature here in Chicagoland is 101 degrees F.
The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning for our area. According to weather dot com, with the heat index (all that horrible, brain-melting humidity and such), temperatures could get up to 108 - 118 degrees F on Thursday and Friday.
HOLY SHIT.
Even with air conditioning, you can feel the heat out there. You can feel the air is heavy. Walking out there, it's like a wall of heat and stifling thick air. UGH. Small wonder many places wanted to cancel their fireworks displays tonight -- with all the dried out plants from the heat, it could start dangerous fires.
So...
Ice cream for supper, anyone?
;D
There's no way in hell I'd want to turn on an oven or cook over a stove.
P.S. The mood tags are weird sometimes. Why is 'thirsty' considered a frown face? I would think its tongue should be hanging out instead, or just look impassive in general. I don't think thirst is a horrible thing, unless it's excessive thirst, in which case, yeah, you may have a problem. Anyway... these are the odd things I apparently think about when trying to procrastinate about doing my homework.
