sinkwriterAmidst my job and my classes (yep, still in school!), I've been working really hard to lose weight and take better care of myself. I've got a long way to go and some challenging goals ahead of me in that regard, but so far I've lost about 35 pounds.
With this shift in number, I've also seen a shift in body. My clothes aren't fitting anymore. I've gone down about a size in pants and almost 2 sizes in tops (depending on how they run in fit). This also means that I've changed bra size. Ahem. This sounds funny because so many women out there seem to want bigger breasts, but as a big breasted woman I'll be happy as mine get smaller.
Anyway, I had to go out and get some new shirts and bras this week, and in the process decided to get some new underwear at the same time. It's still really difficult to find cute, colorful bras in my size (I swear, it's like clothing designers or sellers think that busty women should only wear white, black or beige undergarments, which is ridiculous and boring, but that's a soapbox topic for another day), so I ended up getting a new bra in a mocha color and one in black.
There's a point to this, I swear. LOL.
I don't wear a lot of black undergarments, so I needed to get some underwear to match. I saw this table with black underwear and found one that was black with red trim. Kind of cute. So I picked it up and tucked it in with the other clothes draped over my arm, planning to buy it.
When I got home, I cut off the tag and then went to toss it into my laundry bin for washing, and that's when I noticed it...
The back of the underwear had some writing on it.
Yes, that's right. Across the butt of the underwear were these words:
"Party Like A Pop Star."
And it has a couple of gold stars and pictures of fruity marguerita drinks with umbrellas emblazed across the fabric as well.
How on earth did I miss that???
To my defense, they had the underwear laid out in a way so you didn't see the back at all, and I just saw it was black with a pretty red trim and thought, hey, that'll work. I didn't even THINK to look at the back!
*facepalm*
I'm not usually one to wear things with writing across the ass, but I've decided to keep these because they amuse me. Every time I wear them, I'm sure I'll bust out laughing. Which might be entertaining.
But you can bet from now on I'll be checking both sides of a garment before I buy it.
