Upgrades, anyone?

I get these emails from time to time, from various sites I check out. One of them is OpenSky, which is really a glorified shopping site, but one time they had a good deal on something I wanted so I ordered from them. And now I get email alerts from them about various products that are related to what I purchased, kind of a "these are things you also might like" notification.

So today I got this notification about some new organic "all natural" laundry detergent, and I've been curious about trying something less chemical so I clicked on the link just to see what they were charging for this particular product.

It seems OpenSky is currently going through some site updates or upgrades, because I was unable to access the page I wanted.

Instead, their site had a note saying "Sorry we're not available right now! Here, enjoy these pictures of Johnny Depp, until we've finished our updates."

Sure enough, the page started to cycle through about 3 or 4 handsome pictures of Johnny Depp.

Best. Update. Notice. Ever.

LOL.

OpenSky, you can update your site anytime. Just let me know and I'll come look at new pictures of Mr. Depp.

Sounds fun. I came across an error page earlier today that was absolutely hilarious and creative. Wish I'd thought to make a screen cap of it.

Seriously. I need to remember these things, because they make for fun website programming. Especially if you want to set up code for a creative 404 error page, or other stuff like that. I like it. :)

It's still on my plate to read the newly edited chapter 7, but since I've been so consumed with this horrific work issue I haven't had time yet. And now since I've spent so much time dealing with the work stuff, I need to buckle down and get this week's homework done before it's due on Thursday. So... chapter 7 will be read but not likely till after Thursday! Boooo.

Any word from Greg?

Not a thing. In fact, I talked with Todd tonight on the phone and his recommendation is to send Greg a message tomorrow, asking for an update. It seems strange that Greg hasn't responded at all since last Friday. More on that in a private email to you... coming up!

True, I've gone off Johnny Depp for a while now, but a good ploy is a good ploy, and you can't say no to visual candy.
