Everybody in my house is sick except for ME!

I'm going to do everything I can to make sure I don't get sick, but man oh man, they are not making it easy for me. They're coughing and sniffling and taking all these meds, and my aunt had a fever yesterday. How on earth did this house turn into Germ Central and how can I avoid it without moving out for a week or two? LOL.

Hope you all out there are healthy!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go make some super-healing tea to ward off all the bad stuff.

Honey and lemon tea is a great tea to ward off evil germs. I also turn to vanilla tea as well, especially when I am feeling down. :-)

That sounds yummy and healthy. :)

Do you make the vanilla tea, following a recipe, or is it a specific brand that you purchase? It sounds wonderful.

It's a specific brand, I think it's from South Africa but I am not sure. It's called Rooibos, it's a bush tea. This one they have added vanilla to it. Here is a link.
I love drinking tea especially when I am not well or feeling down. Coffee is great to give me some energy when I need it, but tea nurses the soul. :-)

I have a great natural remedy for when you're surrounded by sniffling/coughing people, even my cousin who used to work in thoracic surgery approves of it. Though maybe it's just psychology, mind over matter.

Are you going to share your remedy, or is it a family secret? ;)

I usually stock up on extra vitamin C and warm teas, and hope for the best.

Sounds like you might have to resort to solitary confinement! ;) My sister had such bad asthma as a kid, whenever I had a cold, my Mum used to make me wear a surgical mask around the house - which was a lot of fun when you can barely breathe out of your nose to begin with! I'd suggest plenty of Vitamin C and keeping your bedroom window open to keep the fresh air circulating (if it's not too cold!) I hope you manage to escape the dreaded lurgy!

PS - if you randomly receive three copies of this comment, it's because the first two didn't seem to post properly!

In my family we always have thyme and eucalyptus infusion, you can add some lemon or honey (or both) if you like. It tastes good and works!!

I hope you stay healthy. *hugs*
