Two is the magic number
Dec. 8th, 2013 01:29 pmJust two more weeks:
Two more classes.
Two more chapters to read.
Two more projects to finish.
Two more tests to take.
And then I'm done! Done with school. Degree complete. The intense focus of the past three and a half years will be over, and I can finally relax a little. I mean, yes, I still need to find a new job, that's priority, but I won't be going going going non-stop with school and homework and tests and projects and all the focus that goes with it. Maybe I can even find renewed energy to do something fun and creative with my time.
I sure hope so.
But in the meantime... just TWO MORE TO GO!

Date: 2013-12-09 02:35 am (UTC)My brain hurts. LOL. The chapter I just finished five minutes ago was a bit torturous to read. It started giving me a headache, I felt like I was concentrating so hard to understand the material. (Decision: writing certain programming languages is not a natural flow for me.) Now I need to decide if I want to try to take the online exam for it or wait until tomorrow when my thoughts are a little more fresh. I just finished shoveling snow for an hour, and then came back in and finished reading the chapter, so I feel kind of wiped out. Whew!
How are YOU?
:D

Date: 2013-12-09 02:42 am (UTC)I'm good! Recovering from being sick and being a bit crampy (thanks, life, for piling those two together at once! I didn't feel shitty enough from just the one thing), but I had a fun (and amazingly irresponsible) weekend, lol.

Date: 2013-12-09 02:52 am (UTC)Aw, your Chuck user pic is making me want to watch my DVDs. I miss that fun show. :)
I'm looking at the time, it's already almost 9 pm, and I just feel wiped out tonight. I guess cold fresh air and shoveling will do that to you! LOL. So I've decided to try to fit in that exam tomorrow. *sigh* Not much more to do! I just keep telling myself that.
I'm glad you're good! Very sorry to hear about the sick-and-crampy part. *pats you and brings you comfy pillows* But it sounds like you had an awesome weekend. Heh heh... love the part about how you both win. *GRIN* Also love that you were messing with him. That's always fun. (Heeee.)
And then I had fun playing around, making the Michael Jackson glove on your tumblr site sprinkle sparklies all over the page. Wheeee! Good times.
Hope there are more nights of sneaking around in your jammies, in your near future. :D

Date: 2013-12-09 03:11 am (UTC)I miss it too, d'aww, Chuckles...
I think that's a good idea, just to make sure you're good and rested. That can never hurt!
Thanks for the pats and the pillows. ;) I did have a good weekend though, despite that! Particularly early this morning... so irresponsible, lol.
We're constantly messing with each other, honestly. The whole thing is basically a big game, i.e. who will cave first. (It's usually him. He's got pretty good resolve - comes with the strong self-loathing, I think, which includes thinking he doesn't deserve my time or company, is The Worst, etc. - but I'm also good at wearing it down, sooner or later. I apologize for nothing.) We actually have a running joke now; as I'm leaving, he'll quip, "Never again," and I just give him a "yeah sure" look, lol, and then we both have to just laugh.
